Intraocular Lens

An Intraocular Lens (IOL) is a type of lens that is implanted in the eye to replace the eye's natural lens after cataract surgery.

The IOL is a small, artificial lens that is designed to help patients see clearly without the need for glasses or contact lenses.

IOLs come in a variety of types and materials, including monofocal, multifocal, and toric lenses. Monofocal lenses correct vision for one distance, while multifocal lenses provide clear vision at multiple distances. Toric lenses are designed to correct astigmatism.

Laser Eye Surgery

Laser eye surgery is a type of refractive surgery that uses a laser to reshape the cornea of the eye and correct vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

The most common types of laser eye surgery include LASIK, PRK, and SMILE.

LASIK is the most popular type of laser eye surgery and involves creating a thin flap on the cornea with a laser or blade, lifting the flap, reshaping the underlying corneal tissue with a laser, and then replacing the flap. PRK involves removing the outer layer of the cornea and reshaping the underlying tissue with a laser. SMILE involves creating a small incision in the cornea and using a laser to reshape the tissue.

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that involves removing excess skin, fat, and muscle from the upper or lower eyelids.

The goal of blepharoplasty is to improve the appearance of the eyes by reducing puffiness, bags, and wrinkles.

Blepharoplasty can be performed on the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. The procedure typically takes about one to three hours and is performed under local anesthesia or sedation.
